The room was very cozy and spacious for one person to stay for a longer period of time. Everything was also very clean. The host was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place if you want to stay in a quiet neighbourhood with a few minutes drive from the beach.
I spent 3 months at Casa Majagua in Puerto Escondido. It started as one month, then I added a second month and then a third month. I loved my little space there and the relaxed atmosphere of Puerto Escondido so much that I just didn't want to leave. The fans (both outside near the hammock and kitchen and inside over the bed) were nice and strong and kept everything cool. There was a nice closet to put away your backpacks/luggage and hang your clothes. It kept the rest of the room clutter free. The bed and pillows were pretty comfortable. Everything was well cared for. There was no hot water, but it was easy to shower in cool water because of the summer heat outside. Roberto was always available to answer questions or provide advice. He called a taxi for me back to the airport that was a good price and arrived at the time promised. All in all. I loved living in this beautiful landscaped, well equipped slice of heaven. I'm sure you will too.

I've been to Puerto 5 times in the past few years, and staying here has been my favourite experience so far. Great value and Roberto, the host, is so kind and helpful. The studio is comfortable, and the AC and fan were more than sufficient to manage the heat during the hotter months of summer. The TV in the room had all the standard steaming options you would want for days/nights in. There was also a softer bedside light that was helpful for winding down - I find a lot of accomodation lack small details like this. I especially enjoyed that each studio had it's own terrace, with a kitchen and hammock. Roberto was welcoming and helpful from the moment I reached out to book a room till after I had checked out. He helped me coordinate taxis to and from the airport. The ATV/scooter rental service he provides on-site is very convenient, included a helmet, and he made the sure ATV tank was filled before I got there and taught me how to use it. I can't recommend Casa Majagua and Roberto enough!
We stayed at Casa Majagua with friends for one week and had a great experience! Our host Roberto greeted us upon arrival and responded super rapidly for all our questions during the whole stay. We had a few unexpected issues and they were all solved quickly by Roberto. Very pleasant to deal with. Regarding the rooms, it’s a good quality-price ratio. Clean and comfortable, nothing more to add! 10 min walk to the beach is all you need and we made friends with a lovely cat! They also rent scooters directly on-site so it’s very convenient!
Truly some of the best hosts I’ve ever had! Roberto and Ceci are incredibly kind, communicative, and polite. Everything was super clean and in great shape. Looking forward to our next stay!
